Hello Fellow Fisherman,It's COD TIME once again.YES,it's a bit early for the big run of fish we have seen the past three years but I can now report too you first hand as I started working on Montauk's infamous VIKING fleet as of last week.I unhooked a couple keeper COD on each trip fishing for Giant Porgies & Sea Bass south of Block Island.As I have mentioned in past rig descriptions,I have been Mating/Captaining on Long Island my whole life.While semi-retired from mating a chance to work SAT & SUN COD fishing this winter will certainly be where I should be to expand Z.F.I. Cod rigs.
THE RIG

I just received a shipment of new SQUID teasers with large 6" PINK with Blue dots and "AURORA:" plus a PURPLE & a Mackeral green/white with Black dots in 4.75".One of a couple reasons for mentioning the first paragraph is it may get hetic to keep up with COD rigs this season.With this in mind you may want to stock up sooner than later.All my rigs are Hand-Tied by me,not my wife of a friends son or anything like that..Everytime I believe a rig is close to perfect I learn something new.This runs true with this HI-LO rig,Adding a new twist no pun intended,I now snip the two large DROPPER LOOPS and twist the two tags to create a "STAND_OFF" style rig.This keeps the two squid teaser hooks stand away from the main leader creating a tangle free more natural looking presentation.....I just popped up and am 1/2 awake so will leave this description for now and will re-read later:)
